Been outta the "loop" for near a year, yet feel like I've stepped into a time warp. By now. thought that HWJ would have fessed up on the ID of "buried treasure", been offered a part by a maj movie mogul dealing with said object or would be ghost writing for "The National Inquirer". But here he is...still sittin' back, eatin' popcorn and enjoying the drama. lol

LOL - I was thinking about this the other day as we are deep into a backyard remodel. Trenching, digging, running new conduit and plumbing. Wa thinking, "Wonder if I will find any treasure", and then this thread came to mind.

Seems it had WAY more views than that at one time. IIRC, it was pushing 1,000,000 views. Maybe I'm thinking of redfoxs thread with all the old pictures in it.

Well, I've been digging for a few years now down here in Alabama, and clicking too, but still don't know what Joe has determined about the object in his yard, but in my digging... well, I just don't know.

I've brought in backhoes and continued to dig... totally screwed up my yard, and still don't know what this thing is. One thing positive though.. is that I've now uncovered a larger part of it, and determined the actual direction it's pointing... about 32.7 deg to the east of true north. Plotting this out on a map... and it points directly towards joe's house in NY... I know... it's odd, strange, and it's cost me a helluva lot of money.. but I can't stand mysteries... Can you????
