Awesome. Thanks for posting that.

Any idea why the big gap in VIN 1968 from 249856 YS 8027 to 377575 YS 8024 ??
OK, maybe I did not ask the question correctly. Here is the gap I am talking about. From what I see on the new list, the last 67 is 253376 (July 67 VIN) and the first 68 is 377575 (January 68 VIN). Was there a reason for this gap?

If anyone has information on the Yenko Z28s, I would like to have a PM from you. The more I think about it, the car my dad had in 1970-71 may have been one, based on some things that were "different" compared to other 68 Z28s. It was MUCH faster than other 68 and 69 Zs. The car came out of the Chicago area. Or does anyone know if Nickey was doing anything with Z28s?

YS-8027 does not match the VIN that was listed on yenko.net because that list was not correct.

It had 6 vin numbers (including 8027) that are 1967 vin numbers and 3 of them are also listed on both the 1967 vin and 1968 vin list.

These 6 vin numbers cannot be 1968 Camaro and have to be 1967 Camaro because they are N2xxxxx and 1968 didn't use N2xxxxx.

I asked about this when the vins were first posted and never did get a good answer.
They said that is how the list was found from Yenko.
There must have been some sort of mix up when the list was made.

YS-8027 is the red one found in England and has a vin different then on the yenko.net list

There were 3 things to consider ,in my opinion, going on then.Dick and Don had a falling out, they were building the 67s late into 68 and racing really didn't start until the winternationals in the spring of 68.It's possible Don built cars that were never registered from September until january but its just a guess on my part.I'll try to find out but its a good question.

Working on the Yenko/Harrell time line.
WIP (work in progress) -subject to change

Found a race report on the 1967 AHRA Winternationals at Beeline in AZ. (about Feb. 67) They do not mention the Yenko/Harrell Camaro but mention a Camaro S/S of Dave Atkins with Banner Chevrolet as sponsor.

Same magazine shows a picture of a Don Kirby Corvette Funny Car under construction.
It says sponsorship will be Nickey Chevrolet and Exhibition Engineering.

Still looking for early races for Yenko/Harrell Camaro

Aug 67 magazine with the April AHRA Spring National at Odessa TX shows the Yenko/Harrell Camaro setting a record. Also has article showing the S/S Camaro and the Chevy II Funny Car.
The Chevy II FC does not yet have the Yenko logo on it as it does in later photos.
Do not know if this April race was the first. attach pic

same vin listed for YS-750 and YS-760 ? (I think 760 is incorrect)
same vin listed for YS-756 and YS-758 ?

There are a bunch of lists out there
a 107 list, a 54 list, a YS-6xx list, a 32 vin inventory list, another inventory list,
a list of cars found,
a "Chevrolet order status listing" dated 6-22-67
Warren info
Vince E info
other info
also have my own list which is made from all available info I can find but I'm not sure if it is correct as I have had to change it a number of times

one good thing is that some cars appear on all the lists
some Warren info shows 427 conversion
some on inventory list shows HP

YS-750 N241451 is OK I think that was just double listed before
YS-760 N247971 where is this number from?
I don't show it on any of my lists which is strange because the higher numbers show up on multible lists
There is one listed that is one digit off but I don't show a YS number on that vin

YS-724
YS-733
YS-747
YS-755
the vins on these are different then mine but very close so may be a typo as the inventory list is not always clear.
I can post mine but if somebody can post a correction and is same as mine that will serve as a cross check

To add to my lists of lists :)
there are also shipping info lists some of them show YS numbers

Doing more checking and I think these numbers are correct
YS-760 N247971
YS-733 N241505
YS-747 N241937

some observations and cross checking…
On the 107 list the first 36 cars are directly listed in order from the Chevy order status listing and appear to be a batch order of vins 240xxx to 253xxx (June-July) and use YS-725 to YS-759 randomly assigned.

Appears to be another batch order of about 25 cars 226xxx to 231xxx (May-June) that use YS-701 to 724 and these are not randomly assigned but are almost in order.

YS-601, 604, 605, 606, 715 and 760 are not on the 107 list but have been found on other documents.

The YS-7xx numbers fall in line with the Vince E. 54 car list

There may be more YS-6xx cars since there is a large gap between the YS-6xx high of N185xxx and the first YS-7xx N226xxx.
This was around the time of the factory SS396 intro, so Don may have just waited for the SS396 cars to do more conversions.
Also is around the time of the Yenko/Harrell MAR 14 announcement.
