Hello - I will be starting a 1967 and intend to use an aftermarket frame and won't use the original sub-frames.

If you would be interested in them, please message me.

Open to an offer or some parts trade you may have.

Thanks,

Owen

Hello ,

I had a choice with my latest project , a 1968 coupe .
Spend 15 K USD on an aftermarket frame , or just add
DSE subframe connectors …

I was going from an SS350 with T350 and 10 bolt rear axle ,
to a GM crate 502 motor , a GM crate 4L85 E trans… , a 12
bolt Moser USA rear axle with 31 spline axles , 3:73 Richmond gears ,
a Detroit Eaton rear Diff. , and a custom 3” 1/2 “ shortened DS with
1350 yokes …

The added cost of changing the frame , ( 10 -15 K USD ) plus labour
did not cross my mind . The DSE sub frame connectors are more
than adequate for the job .

Just my 2 cents my friend .

Im running 510 HP , and 580 Ft. Lbs of torque.

Cheers , just let me know what your thinking of running ,
that you’d require a new full frame … An LS9 with a SC ?

Hey ,

Pretty sure he’s explaining that he’s looking at
changing out a stock front and rear subframe ,
for aftermarket frame .

He may be considering a full frame ? IDK …?

A stock setup on a 67-68 Camaro is front sub frame ,
and rear sub frame .

There was never a full frame on first gen . Camaros .

I have chosen , for my project , to do a DSE sub frame
connector kit .

This essentially ties the front and rear subframes together .
Please read my previous post about said project .

Regards ,
Adam

What type of driving are in your restoration plan? In the majority of situation a complete expensive suspension is not necessary and can be a waste of money. In my shop we have built more than 3 dozen F bodies of all combinations and at the end of the day, unless racing is involved, guys go over board with these cars and have regrets when their bank account is $100,000 less. Something to think about. I always suggest that you drive different combinations to compare and you may be surprised at the results for just cruising town and going to the coffee and cars.

My Art Morrison IRS equipped 69 Camaro was the best riding first gen Camaro I have experienced by a wide margin. Nothing else comes close. Just sayin…
