Hello all. I'm restoring a 69 Camaro with a 598 big block. Does anyone have pics of the proper position of the throttle shafts? My way IM says it should be1 /8 inch from the bracket but when I do that it hits the firewall.

I would convert it from a throttle rod to a cable.
Reason for suggesting it is you are probably running a Dominator on a very high single plane manifold that will create alignment issues and a sticking throttle with any kind of engine movement (and there will be movement even if you use solid mounts as that engine will bend the subframe at the body mounts).
Thanks for the input guys. I cant Get a pic to load up. Yes a 598 is a tall deck. I am running a dominator carb and high rise single plane mini fold. Iwas able to get the linkage to hook up properly with all of the appropriate clearances. Is a cable conversion difficult to do or is it just a hole in the firewall for the cable and the appropriate pedal work
