I assume this should be sealed. Looks like there is a bolt missing.

Hard to tell without knowing exactly where it is located ? Is it on the back bumper ? Maybe a transmission mount ? Exhaust hanger ?

Should be four bolts or screws. If the holes don't line up, you have the wrong one.

OK, cant say I have ever seen one with holes like that. What transmission is it ?

It's supposed to be steel with holes that line up with the threads so the bolt holds it on. Shaped like this piece.

Depends on the trans. A lot of the late model stuff has a plastic cover.

It looks like the universal cover I got for a project recently. It was only $20, and guess what, I got what I paid for. I had to do a few small mods to get the holes to line up and had to use a heat gun to reshape it to keep from hitting the flexplate.

Try to find a "real" one!
