Probably not worth the effort when you can more than likely pick up a set of either 1.94"/1.50" or 2.02"/1.60" valve heads for about what or maybe even less then it will cost to work yours over, imho.

And with all the low-cost, aftermarket heads out there you will be better off going with a set of them or at a minimum a set of Vortec's even with the cost of a Vortec intake, valve covers and rocker arms....

The smallest valve head I will run nowadays is the # -601, 1.84"/1.50" one off the 305HO motors if the CR. doesn't get out of hand? (And that's only on a small motor!!).....
