If legit sis with original motor I think price is fair. I know it’s high but they all are. Lot depends on how many parts are still correct

A potential buyer really needs to be very familiar with the pitfalls of these cars. The obvious...metal wastage along with other degraded components. The undercarriage integrity is a real concern, especially viewing the rear lower quarters. Bought new in WV, where it probably spent the majority of its life and exposed to heavy road salt at times.

 

Somebody had better buy it before I buy a plane ticket..... This is a steal. Looks to be original GM metal and paint.

A real bargain, complete as it looks. clean it up, getting it running would bring another 10k, based on the pics

 

Really...rotten quarters and all! No telling how thin the rockers are not to mention the trunk, etc. It's a neglected car...period.

 

If I were looking for a new project I'd hook up the trailer and head to South Carolina.

My exact thoughts! The verbiage doesn't sync up with the photos. Christ...they could have at least aired up the tires and maybe a quick wash.

 

I have half a mind to call the number and go to town with whomever posted this.

I would guess its legit. Normally I can find stolen pictures from a fake ad using google reverse image search, this one I only got the Craigslist ad. Maybe he took the phone number down because he was getting too many calls on it. Someone's probably on the way to buy it as I type.

 

An email has been sent. Been on CL for 16 days and counting...seems a deal would have been already struck if this whole thing is above board.

 

It has been my experience that the most sophisticated scammers are on Craigslist. YMMV….

Ad says 130000 miles on the odometer but the pic shows something like 64000. I’m calling BS on the whole thing…

 

He said that pic was an error and from another car. I just put $14,280 cash in a box and mailed it to him. He knocked off twenty bucks for postage. Car is being delivered here mid week.

And the emissions decal on radiator core support says 265 HP. When did a 69 BB Camaro ever come with 265 HP? A friend of mine sent me that ad yesterday. I'm only 30 miles from Greenville but when I seen it had been on CL for 2 weeks and had not sold, I lost interest. Cars like that usually don't last 48 hours when they for sale.

 

This the way that guy gonna be that sent him that money in a shoe box! Looking for his BB 69 Camaro!

Very likely gone already. These unmolested cars with BB dont last at that price regardless of the rust.

 

Then the guy likes getting calls just to chat if the ad is still running after weeks.

Dont bother its a scam. Disregard my post #39. For some readon I could only see the first 6 posts when I posted, turns out zI was #39 and clearly a scam by 39.

Two rules of the internet. If it sounds too good to be true, its a scam. #2 if its on CL its a scam.

 

I've bought and sold lots of things on Craigslist. Its less scammy than FB IMHO. But scams are easy to sort out quick. Just bought $1000 worth of home theater sound equipment for $300 off FB in a deal that was too good to be true.
