I have a 69' camaro x22,396 rs/ss hardtop. The trim tag reads code 720 (huggar orange) deluxe interior and code 72 (huggar orange). The car also has the white SS stripes.Could this be right? If so,does anyone know how many were make with these options?

The 720 orange houndstooth interior was available on a coupe. There were exterior color limitations; Hugger Orange was an approved color. White D90 striping would be correct with no vinyl roof or a parchment vinyl roof.

Chevrolet never released production figures for paint/trim combos.

Thanks William, I had to ask because I go to alot of car shows and search the net looking to see the same combo and nothing. Everyone (camaro folks)thinks I converted the interior to the orange houndstooth until I show them the trim tag. They also have never seen a match to mine. The 720 code is always seen on the pace cars though.
In fact,Camaro Performers magazine thought it was rare too so they did a story on it.

I've got one. They are less common because the orange interior was only available from around the time of the Indy 500 until the end of the 69 model year. I have seen a few others.

Mine is also an RS/SS 396, but with the owner installed in a million pieces option.
