Is your radiator an original or the best correct reproduction available?

While sliding the shroud down into the lower clips, you may also need to pry the lower edge of shroud downward, so it gets "under" the radiator.

You can install the fan & clutch first with shroud standing off the radiator, then put shroud on radiator

What radiator do you have?

 

The original Z radiator. Yea, I tred that and noticed the bottom lip of the shroud meeded to be pulled down under the radiator but I;m working alone from the top and needed someone to pull the bottom of the shroud down while i'm trying to slide both sides into the clips. What a pain .. Tks for your help ,,,Joe

 

Joe the job is much easier if you install studs on your water pump vs bolts. You don't have to struggle holding everything and same time trying to start the bolts. Next time you have to remove the fan you will be glad you went with studs. I thought I was done, now I am removing fan and shroud to install a degree cover on my balancer. Always something to do.
