Bought the 73 camaro with a 454-th400-12 bolt rear. The driveshaft was not installed and missing the caps. I don't know what u-joint goes on the rear end. It has the small square dimples in it. Any help would be appreciated. I tried local parts stores and are too wide. Also how would the u-joint sit in its place. See pic.

I have the right length driveshaft. So the u-joint goes between the tabs. Looks like I am going to be busy at the parts store. Thanks for the reply. As far as power, the 454 is a 4 bolt main stock compression(9 to 1), has ported and polished rectangular heads(oversize valve r rockers new springs, etc), strip dominator and a 660 solid roller cam, hooker headers super comp. Trans is Manual reverse valve body with a 3500 stall, rear has 4.56 gears moser axles with c-clip elims and rear disc set up.

the 1310 joint uses the outside tabs to locate it the 73 should call for a 1350joint the uses the inside snap rings, you could get a bigger yoke and swap it out or you may need an adapter joint - combo 1350 and 1310 - what joint is in the driveshaft?
