Aftermarket tint and/or Factory green tint

As my build gets back on track I'm going to have a ton of questions. I searched a lot and didn't find much about this other than a like for one tint vs the other.

I bought my glass from Auto City like 10-15 yrs ago and it's finally going in soon. :-O I like the look of a mild-medium aftermarket tint and being a Pro-Touring build I'm not necessarily tied to the stock green tint.
My question for you guys is this:
If I do a mild tint over the factory green tint, is that going to come off as odd looking? Like will the green hue mix with the light smoke tint for some odd end-result?
I'm wondering if I should just buy the grey tint/smoked glass as others have and sell my green tinted side glass? The cars I've seen with the Auto City light grey/smoke do look good to me for what that's worth. I just don't want to go through that re-purchase and selling hassle if my concerns aren't warranted.

Thanks. (y)

My two cents. I like the green. If you put tent on it I don't think you would be able to tell it was green. That said there is a such thing as too much tint. The dark tent makes for poor visibility at night, making night cruzing not much fun. I would find a happy medium.

Here are some photos of Auto City glass with a green tint. I don't know why I keep taking photos. I gave up on my build project thread. I guess old habits are hard to break.

This is the windshield. It has a dark tint along the top.

The side glass it thicker than the original glass. This can create a problem when you install the vertical trim on the quarter window glass. I had to make the chrome wider where the glass slips in the slot.

This photo shows difference in thickness between the old and new glass.

Overall, I think the glass is good for the price.

Clear glass can look wavy if it is not made correctly. I think the tint will hide this defect. I plan to add a tint film to the side windows. My 2017 Ford truck had factory tinted windows. I applied a tint film to the windows and sunroof. I cannot tell there are two shades.

Does anyone know if it is possible to apply a tint film on a the plastic rear window on a convertible?

I forgot to mention that the newer window tint film will reflect radiant heat. On my truck, I lined the front windshield with a visibly clear tint, but it reflects heat from the sun. It really does work. I did not order the smoke tint windows because I was afraid the dark glass would absorb heat and not reflect it back outside. I live in the deep south so the sun's heat is a big problem.

Another thing to keep in mind is the legal amount of tint for your area . It would get old getting harassed everytime you go out for a cruise.

I decided to order new side glass that had the smoke tint in it as opposed to the stock green tint like I have here.
I was clued in by the tint shop that since the aftermarket tint goes on the inside that the factory green tint would always be somewhat visible. (oh, light-bulb moment. Duh!) I had them put a little tint on one piece just so I could see what that would be like.
Thought I would share these pics just in case anyone ever does a search on the topic.

I got the smoked tint replacement glassfrom Auto City Classic.com.
They made the factory green tint glass that I had and seemed to have a good reputation.

Pilkibgton glassnis another supplier but they only had 1/4 windows in stock with no ETA on door glass.

It'll be a while before these go in.....
