Our weather has been absolutely beautiful!
I had just rebuilt the old Qjet off my Camaro and took it out Sunday to see how it went. Launched at 6:45am and headed up to New Hampshire where the roads are FINE. Car was running great on the highway and found a new Dodge Charger to play with. We danced around the triple digits for a while :D. Gotta love 2.73 rear gears.

I discovered some great sideroads in NH and can't wait to go again. It was a little early for the foliage. After 92 miles I had to head in, bring the family McMuffins and get ready to take them to the beach.

Next time out, I may try an economy run with this newly rebuilt old carb to see if I can break my previous record of 20.1 mpg. Too much horsing around this time. And if anybody wants to go with me next time just let me know.:beers:

Who else drove their Camaros this weekend?

Sounds like a nice morning cruise Tom. Can't complain about that 20 mpg.

The weather has been perfect here too. Haven't had the Camaro out though. Been riding the bike instead. Rode it to work today and the stinkin' ignition switch snapped off at the base when I turned the key off. Gotta love old bikes... Now I have to figure out how to hotwire it so I can get home this afternoon.

Greetings from Arizona
Every weekend and sometimes during the week, Was Great drop-top weather. Drove the Cobra yesterday, Took it to a friends house to check on his truck that he was having problems with. His 10 year old daughter loves old car...had biggest grin possible when I asked if she knew anyone who wanted a ride. Jay

Went to a car show in Middletown, NJ, about an hour from me, one way. Very nice ride! But wore long pants and it was hot at the show! Met up with a freind and his real 69 TA (finally!). This was the first time I could convince him to bring it out this year :) A lot of people came up and talked to him about it. One guy said he must not drive it much because there were still cobwebs on the underside :D wanted to go out sunday too, but was working on the cracks in the driveway and my back was shot. :(

abnormal weather here this past weekend.. mid 80's and "almost" a little too warm.

Put 535 miles on the Camaro this past weekend. Saturday was a trip over to Rockford, Illinois, and down near the Iowa/Missouri border on Sunday. Back to working weekends and building up the bank account from driving too much this summer.

Ok ~ Ok I didn't get mine out this weekend. But I did meet another TC member and his wife from Tampa FL. at a local cruise in. Ben and Karen, aka Bensrat ~ very nice folks and had a enjoyable Friday afternoon at the cruise and meeting other TC guys!
Weather here in the NC mountains was awesome, although the Florida guest did have their jackets on. :D

Installed LED taillights Friday AM, went for a cruse out to my old home place and some of the places of my chidhood. Made a big circle through farming country.
Drove to a car show with 300+ cars on Saturday, great weather, great fun. There will not be too many more weekends like that her in KY, so I want to enjoy each one as much as I can.

Hey Tom, yeah I had mine out on Friday and then again on Sunday. It ran great, but noticed a little knocking from the engine bay (fluids seem fine). I can't tell if it's the exhaust manifold on the passenger side that we looked at when you were over last time, or if it's something new. If you recall, one of the bolts on the manifold flange is snapped and the exhaust is only connected by two of the three bolts.

It only does it while driving, either when accelating hard or down shifting hard to come to a stop. I can't replicate it at idle, or even revving the engine while parked. Thoughts?

If you feel the knocking in your foot, it's bad. Sounds like it is probably the exhaust gasket/missing bolt. When mine was loose, even with three bolts it would make a racket under load. I'm already looking forward to next Sunday's drive. YOU should come too.

Had a nice ride on Sunday visiting 55+ communities. That's the only way i can get my wife in the car. She actually told me that the ride wasn't too bad this time (changed the rear springs over the winter), but I had to skip 2nd gear so her head didn't bob!!:D

I was out Saturday most of the day and Sunday also. I went through about 6 gallons of race fuel and 30 gallons of Sunoco 93 !! Today I did a complete rear brake job on a friends van, wheel cylinders were leaking both sides and the shoe rivets were starting to scrape on one side. What a greasy mess the whole thing was. One can of degreaser, two cans of brake clean, two rolls of shop towels and one roll of paper towels. After I finished that and cleaned up, I took the car our for about an hour and then headed back home. Its almost 7pm here and its still in the low 80's !!! What a great weekend this was

We left home about 7am Sat and I just got back a half hour ago. About 400 miles in Northern Calif along the Russian River, a little wine tasting a lot of driving and some great food with 8 other Camaro couples. The weather was great Sat and Sunday but we woke up to rain this morning. The ragtop is a total pig at the moment but didn't skip a beat the whole time. I'll post some pictures after I get things unpacked and see how things look.

Our last winery stop yesterday the owner had his one owner (he sat with the dealer and filled out the order form) white w/black top RSSS 350 waiting for us when we got there. We parked mine nose to nose with it for a photo op, over 150k miles on the orig engine/drivetrain and going strong. He drove it on a week long trip recently... All in all a fantastic 3 days!

If I tried to leave the house in one of the collector cars to go cruising without the wife, she'd be following me down the road in her Elcamino. We do a small car show every other Saturday night and its her Saturday to work, so she'll drive one to work, change clothes and show up in her car
I'm lucky she's a car nut,, Jay
