Someone I know told about a classic car insurance company known as NCM Insurance (Contact). They swear by them. I currently have Hagerty and have had them for years. Long story short … I called NCM and for the same price (they did not ask what I was paying) I can get four (yes 4) times the replacement cost for my car. Other coverage, towing, etc is the same. Before I made the switch, I wondered you all heard of them or use them. Any comments are welcome.

NCM Insurance is popular with the Corvette owners. They are brokers for American Modern Insurance. I have had NCM for many years on two vehicles, the 68RS Camaro and 66 Corvette. Their premiums were much less than Hagerty which I had for a few years, for the same coverage. I have only had a towing claim, but was very satisfied as they sent a flatbed roll off, not a hook. I never even saw the bill. I have not increased the coverage due to inflation, but need to. Unfortunately, American Modern would not insure my 93 Dodge D350 truck. Others say Hagerty gives them a better deal. I think it depends on the area of the country you are in and they will not insure cars in certain parts of the country.

ACI is no fun if you're a shop dealing with a claim. They don't send out an adjuster like Hagerty. All by photos. Owner sent in a claim and they were off by thousands. I had to keep submitting many pics for supplements. Except for one required daily driver, all my vehicles are through Hagerty, even my trailer. I had a claim with Hagerty and it was easy. They sent out an adjuster and any supplements are easily resolved. I like their cherished value. My friend has 50(fifty) cars insured with them. Two claims were cherished value payouts. Maybe others are the same price or cheaper and as easy to deal with but I've never shopped around.
