Good morning all. It.s time to replace the headers on my 70 camaro 4spd pwr steering. The headers on there now are FLO TECH AFTERBURNERS. These are not the right ones for the car , we made them fit, cut ,weld ,bang heat tubes and dimple . Was wondering what new set of 1 5/8ths dia. tube would be the best fitting for spark plug access, Z BAR clearance, ground clearance, starter and oil filter access. I was looking at HEDMAN #68270 but i dont have much experiance with different brands of headers to know wich ones fit better than others. Thanks for your help in advance . Alex

Hello,

We have had good luck with the Hedman Headers. The part# 68270 painted shipped to you is $170.00.

Hedman also makes the Elite Series, thicker flanges and a little heavier construction plus it is a ceramic coated header part# 68278 price shipped $305.00.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions or for special Forum Pricing, we meet or beat anyone's prices.

Regards,
Don

Watch out for the Hookers if you have angle plug heads. I've not had good experience with this combo. The Hedmans have become much cheaper over the years, maybe the Elite series are better, but the same part number I once used now has a ball flange at the collector and is thinner at the flange.

Haven't used them yet, but the Dynatech look REAL nice for the price.
