Hey guys, I yanked my 4 speed from my 68 camaro and need to replace some seals on it but I don't know what it came out of originally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drivers side: 13-04-097-901
Passenger side: 13-04-065-904
Tail shaft: 13-04-066-901

Input shaft is 26 spline

There isn't a vin number on the top for me to decode.

Thanks!

Borg warner Super T-10. 904 case would be iron case, BW AS9-t10 suggest the over-the-counter iron case replacement:

Iron case ST10 is pretty tough (but heavy). Overall strength will depend on what ratio set you have -- 3.42 1st gear "ultra wide ratio" is the weakest, but the wide ratios make a nice street trans.

What engine are you putting in front of this? Should be a good trans for street and some track. Avoid excessive wheel hop and don't dump the clutch at 4k with slicks though....

Wow -- you'll be putting out a fair bit of torque then -- kind of asking a lot out of any manual trans if you manage to hook up the tyres. I think I'd avoid slicks to keep the trans a bit happier until you get the funds for a built 6-speed. ST10 won't be glass fragile or anything, but it'll break if you beat on it enough.

Does the trans have any rings on the input shaft? On the prod trans, this will tell you what ratio set you have (check the link I posted) but I'm not sure if the over-the-counter trans did this as well. Need to know what ratio you have now if you want to pick your rear gears. Conventional wisdom suggests you want around a 10:1 overall 1st gear, but with a 468 you should be OK with a little lower overall 1st gear since you'll have big torque. You may be OK with something like a 3.42 rear...
