Front Skinny's tires

Going to change up my wheel and tire combo. and go with the "old School" 15"x8/4" set-up. This is on a street car that has Tubular Control Arms, but no tubs no cage nothing crazy wild. I'm curious about the brand and size of tires guys are running now on the street with 4" wheels.
Back in the day M/T was almost like having a "Nike Swoosh" and nothing else matter. Is Hoosier, M/T still the only way best way to go now? I get 24-26-28 tall as factors....but is a good 175/185-65-15 better street choice???

Some used VW tires as they were 165/75-15.

Be warned as those 165-185 tires are not all meant to carry the weight and/or speed of a 3000+ pound car.

I went with 5" wheels and 205/65's just for this reason.

Doug...U think a 205/65/15 tire work out ok on a 15x4 wheel ???

i run M/T 26x6 on a 5" rim

I had 15x4" in the front of my chevelle for a while. I used 165r15 VW type tires. It definitely felt sketchy in turns. If you go with 4" in the front, I would look for front runner tires and don't use tires rated for a compact car.
