Hi. I recently picked up a 67 Camaro that is missing the fan shroud. I purchased a new one along with the bolts and clips. I know where the top bolt should be installed, but I have searched the internet and can't find anything about the rest of the installation. Is this the only bolt that needs to be installed (there aren't any other bolt holes on the shroud or around the radiator that I can find)? On either side of the shroud, there are flanges that look like they might be the place to attach the clips, but I don't see anything on the radiator in those locations to attach clips to. I have 3 books, and none of them cover this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

OP

as noted, there are clips on each side tank where the shroud would just "slide" into securing the bottom and just the one center bolt up top

Some thin aluminum bar stock could be soldered to your side tanks at a radiator shop

Or some other form of improvising....maybe some way to zip tie it to something discretely. I have seen those plastic fasteners used to hold electric fans to radiator that go through the radiator itself that might be a possibility

If you decide to replace the radiator, Cold Case, a sponsor, has the clips on their radiator

Conats congrats on your purchase! Gaps on your body panels look really nice and tight, things appear really straight. Love the flat hood, (I will never change mine despite everybody telling me I need "cowl hood", sure so it looks like every Camaro, and pickup, out there, not gonna happen. Also the aluminum slots and the cars stance look great. Brings back a lot of memories! Enjoy your new ride.

Agree. High school 76-79, parking lot was full of 10 year old cars like this, plentiful & affordable. First upgrade was often a set of aluminum slotted mags. Just refreshing to see it today.
