Hi Guys, I have been lurking for a while and decided to step up to the plate and make my first post to say hello. I noticed that the convertible forum is one of the least used on this website. Can we do a roll call to get an idea of how many vert lovers we have browsing?

69 plain jane , 327/2 barrel drop top. SS Stripes does not an SS make. Currently on blocks undergoing open heart surgery and cancer removal. We can rebuild her, we have the technology!

Regards to all,

Brian

Mike L. from Indianapolis Indiana. Here's my '67 'vert I bought in April '99. It's a dealer replica (most likely had black stripes from factory) with the original 325 HP 396, Turbo 400 auto, and 3:07 posi. Had some new panels and paint around 1980 by 2nd owners Chevy dealership.

First convertible I've owned. There should be a law, every person should own a least one in their life. Didn't know what I was missing!

69 SS350, glacier blue, all numbers matching, M-20. Currently undergoing
frame off resto, almost done! :hurray: Was all original, not too bad of shape,
but you know what happens when you start cleaning 'em up...might as well do it right the first time! Hoping to be on the street in St. Pete Beach
in a couple more months. Pics when it's in a few less pieces.

Bought my 68 original SS396 in 1993. Spent 2 1/2 years with total rebuild myself. New floors, trunk, dash, windshield frame, passenger rocker panel. Wow! Lost of rust! Now has 468 BB, M21, 12 bolt posi, Deluxe Black Interior, black top, and bright GM red. Looks stock from the outside. Built it to enjoy, but my 28 yr old son seems to like it as much as I do. Funny how the rear, trans, clutch and old 396 seem to break quicker with the son driving than when old dad drives.
Time to freshen her up this year. Reading all your threads gets me more interested all the time.

I have a 68 ss 396 [325hp] 4-spd butternut yellow vert I've had the car for 20 years now at one time I had a copy of the orignal MSO from Chevrolet along with all the previous owners names but my wife threw it away when we moved! I did talk to the orignal owner he said he ordered it when he was in Vietnam and had the car for 4-yrs and traded it for a 71 chevelle. The car was sold new in St.Louis and stayed there all its life until I bought it and now it reside at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Here's the recent pickup. Canadian documented 1969 Camaro Convertible. Just tracking down all the history on it. Originally a 307 (previous owner of 15 years threw it out a few years ago..sigh). Need to put the badges on it and redo the interior. Can't wait until the snow goes away so we can drive this baby. Will have 17" American racing rims when she is done.
