im having a hard time finding any info on what i should gap my rings at with my L2256F Speed Pro forged pistons (0.030).....zero info came with them in the box,and ive had no luck on the federal mogul site trying to find a # to call....

the are standard iron rings with the top being moly coated...my pistons are set up in a 4.030 + .0005 bore...

i had the piston pin bores opened up .001,and i am going to be running a moderate to large shot on them regularly(100-150+ hp)

this is all for a short(5.565 rod) 383,so any help would be greatly appreciated...

What is the brand and part number of the rings?

I'm not overly familliar with nitrous setup, but on a non nitrous N/A setup .004" per inch of bore is "fairly" standard, my hyperutectic's are setup for non- nitrous N/A with .0065" per inch of bore. I am guessing you will be in that range as well.....sorry I didnt really post the answer, but keep looking, you'll find the spec.
