How can I tell what steering box I have?? Its difficult to see the numbers on there. It looks like 5689023. Is this the 825 box?? Thanks

The numbers on the outside of the box won't help you. About the best that you can do is count the number of turns from lock to lock.

Why do you want to know? If it's for header fit on a 69, all the PS boxes are the same from my research. Many of the headers won't work with a PS box unless you dent the pipe or grind on the box to create some clearance.

On a small block - Dynatech is the way to go as they don't have clearance problems, can't comment on the big block fit but I would check them out if you are concerned about fit.
