Well I got the drip rails removed on the camaro. I added a 3-16" rod to the edge so the chrome would be hidden better. Plus it made it a smooth transition. What do you think ????

Jason,

It looks like your car is coming together. Starting to look like a car now. Good job !!!!
Thanks for the kind words Mike.. Its coming together slowly. Im hoping to have it back on two wheel by the end of January. Then I can start on the subframe. It is nice to start seeing progress. :hurray:

Satatic,
70 to 81 camaro`s do not have drip rails. So the rain should not matter.

Toddc,
When I cut off the drip rail I was left with 2 seperated pieces of metal. The inner roof and the outer roof. Also the outer roof has a beveled lip and I had to flatten it. Then I spot welded all along the 2 seams. Then grinded a nice flat surface to the edge. Then I added the rod to the edge and made the outside roof edge flat with the rod edge. If you run your finger inside the edge you will feel the curved edge of the rod. It has a nice round edge on it now. Plus I am going to run a small bead of seam sealer to the inside part of the rolled lip to seal the inside welded seam.
