Driveshaft vibration happens with speed and is directly related to how fast your driving. My question was to determine if it happened in 5th gear because of a higher speed you're driving? Have you dropped it down to 4th gear while driving at that speed to see what happens? What happens when you push in the clutch at this speed? Do you actually feel the vibration or is it a noise? During the initial break in, my Tremec made some whines that got quieter as I put more miles on it. More specifics are needed to try and determine anything.
It does not appear to be related to speed ? Kind of comes and goes

If you hear a noise that hums or whines perhaps you even get some feed back from the shifter handle. That's what my TKO did in fourth gear and seemed to oscillate. It took almost 500 miles, and hundreds of shifts but it faded away the more I drove. How many miles have you put on it? To help break mine in, I would take it on the freeway and go back and forth between two exits and through all the gears up shifting and downshifting for about 40 or 50 miles each day. The heat cycling also helps the break in.
Thais is what it sounds like to me . but in 5 th

What I think it can be is the 5th and reverse shifting rod ??? I watched a video and the linkage on the end of that rod looks like it has a arm with some kind of spring ??
Goes away when clutch is pressed....I'm not sure what it would have to do with 5th gear, just thinking something to do with gear reduction, shaft speed, or a combo there of.

So... does the sound change AS you press the clutch, or only once fully depressed ?

fully depressed I will make a video tomorrow W.hat do you think about the trans angle ??? I posted pics ?

I have found the Tremac app is sketchy because holding the phone dead nuts still and flat can be difficult resulting in false readings. At the very least remove phone from whatever case its in to sit more flush with the surface

IMHO the $5 magnetic angle finder works perfect. YMMV

Do yourself a favor and download the Tremec driveline angle app. Measure with the weight fully on the ground (or wheel cribs).

Very cool app my friend . I had the inclinometer , and now I have this one . when I go for my aligniment and the car is on a straight rack I will take the measurements this app asks for and see what I get ?? I got 7 degrees from the trans form the inclinometer . which I know is out of spec. but I may not have been level ??? Also If this were the case I would expect it to be at all times ?? Thank you for this good info .. Joe
