Hey guys, I haven't been around much for a long time, but I'm still alive despite Mother Nature's best attempt. I've had a few old Team Camaro friends reach out to me after hearing about the tornado that went through my town in Texas. I figured I'd just pop in a quick post to say I'm OK for those of you that may remember me.

My house was completely destroyed as well as both of my daily driver vehicles and my motorcycle are all totaled. Fortunately, the Camaro survived but with significantly more body damage than it already had.

My entire shop where it was stored is probably blocks away, haven't found all of it yet. As my Camaro was in pieces as the restore has been on hold for a number of years, and I'm missing tons of original parts but it's only stuff. I attached a few pics.

My wife, myself, and my animals all made it out of the rubble safe and uninjured is all that matters.

Talk you to all again soon!

Chris - Man, I can really feel your pain and identify, losing most of my belongings in Katrina, but nothing like you're going through. I clearly remember your car and your motorcycles when you posted them up a long time ago. Horrible, and you and your family and all the families affected by this are in our prayers.

Don't be shy and I know you're not asking for a handout, but please post your PayPal account so we can all help out.

Better yet, PM me with your account and I'll start a new thread or I'll ask a moderator to start it. Regardless of whatever rules TC may have, I think this is an exception.

Hey Chris we never forgot you... you just need to pop in and say HI more often. So sad to see that destruction and especially your camaro but so glad you are all ok.
:( It will be a long haul getting organized and on the road to 'fixed' again but we will pray things work in your favor all along the road with insurance. Patience Japeto :) :beers:

I also see a Camaro hood and a cooler with 2 beers on it... thats all you need to get started :D

Thanks for all the kind words guys! We're doing ok, just exhausted from digging what little belongings we could out of the rubble the last 5 days. What didn't disappear in the tornado was pretty much destroyed by the several days of rain when they wouldn't let us back in to the neighborhood until they could make sure it was safe enough.

I didn't post here asking for charity and I know you guys that know me know that. But, so many people want to help that one of my coworkers did set up a gofundme account to help my family and I. If you feel compelled to help out, it's here.

I'm overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone that I can't even talk about it without almost crying.

My thought and prayers are with you and family, Chris.
Most important, you & family are okay.
It can get emotional and overwhelming, I know.
One day at a time.

Thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts and prayers guys! Even though I haven't been around much, you are all still my Camaro brothers! (even those of you that don't have a 67 :) ) Myself, my wife, and my 2 80lb labs were piled into a bathtub in the center of my house when it hit. It's the only room with 4 walls still. We're all safe and uninjured except for cuts and bruises from going through the wreckage trying to salvage what we can over the last week. It's just stuff though!

Hey all. It's been a while!!! We're doing well. We decided not to rebuild the house we were in and bought a new one. Everything is going great! Still haven't had time to work on the Camaro but it's still on the radar. Have to get a shop built for it. At least with the new place on 2.5 acres I have room to build a REAL shop. I'm thinking 40x60 :)

Thanks for the update, Chris. Sounds like things are finally getting back to some sense of normality. That sure looked like a mess, but at least you didn't loose anything truly important.

Good to see you around Christopher... stop back in more often. :beers:
