I need some guidance.I bought a 1969 camaro a month ago from Ohio and I am now trying to register the vehicle where I live in California. It has a clean title and the VIN # on the drivers side dash matches the title but in California you need to verify the VIN # in 2 locations and if I can not find it the Highway Patrol has to find it. Has anyone dealt with this before or know were the other VIN#'s are at? It does not have the original drivetrain if that narrows down the possobilities.
Thanks,
Jason

The one by the blower hole will require the removal of the firewall blower box. Which I think would require the removal of the right fender. Hopefully, the CHP will be satisfied with the one on the top of the cowl.

Do a search, on this site; there have been pics of the top one that will help you identify waht you are looking for. Sometimes, they are obscured by multiple paint jobs.

I know it is true for 1969, as there have been several examples including my car posted here. It's possilble it could cover all 3 years of first gens, but I have seen pics to prove that yet.
