Hi All:
I see tons of posts regarding wiper arm removal but not one on installation. Any tricks to putting the arms back on and lined up where they should be on the windshield?? My new arms have pretty tight springs in them and there's not much to grab on to down on the knuckle part of the arm....
Thanks

I always turn them on and watch the stubs rotate and then turn them off and make sure that they stop in the park position. From there I just stick them on the stubs where I want them to sit when the shut off.

The wiper arm removal tool works just as well for installing them - lets you hold the arm and pivoting base parallel against the spring, then just pop it on the spindle when you get the blade located where you want it on the windshield.

I've never seen that tool. Glad I know what it looks like now. Thanks John. I assume any auto parts store carries them?

ds, make sure the wiper switch is off and shafts are in correct position. Then look in the assembly manuel for the correct height of the wiper blade above the window trim, and mark that height with a piece of masking tape layed horizontilly on glass. Put some white grease or anti-sieze on the shafts, and bend back blade at joint and barely start on the shaft, position wiper blade on tape line. If it does not line up, remove and re-position until correct. Make sure you check the manuel for the dimensions since they are both different from the trim. Nothing looks worse IMO than droopy wiper arms. Good luck!
