Wow Greg... that was one clean car to begin with!
Dun know have another look floor pans and stuff..just cause a car look good on top doesnt mean the undereath is even safe..
Fortunatly in NZ and Aussie we have laws and independant engineering experts who have to pass up grades, body work and stuff...right down to seat mounts.
No cert no drive on the road...Hence why US collectors hit Aussie and NZ, pay big money and take them back to the US.

Yes the floors were really bad, rust panels over rust. It had 80% quarters that they had done a terrible job on, rust in the trunk floor and the general fit and finish wasn't good, but that was then and this is now and I am loving the challenge to get this fixed as I have had very little experience working with panel, but after reading some of the outstanding threads on Team Camaro :) I thought I was up to the task.

I am always open to help, so if you see something that I am doing wrong please give me shout out.

Greg

No I thought the toilet span backward over there, I am shore ours goes the right way :D.

Greg
Hey Tonner,
I am sure we have the whirlpool going in the right direction (coriolis effect)
Good summary of the rebuild, it's looking good.
"Hands on" is the way to build, when you've got the time

Our tiolet water doesnt spin, just goes down in one big gush...the sink water spins the correct way here thu.
Was that a trick question? or do u guys have strange toilets lol.

Thanks Nev, I notice you must be close to getting Rego?

Greg
Yes, getting closer to rego, just got to line up the club inspection and then the dreaded Regency Park inspection
I took it for a spin on "trader" plates the other day while getting a minor carb issue sorted.
Didn't stop smiling for 2 days:D

The 1st gen shape loves blue
Like the stripes..pinstrip them?
Thought anout blacking out the all of the plastic grill?
Maybe remove the grill chrome trim to keep the clean look
And the red brakes, a deeper shade of blue?

Are those 70 ford falcon coupe mirrors?...
Hate to say it but the 70 coupe mirrors go real well with the 1st gen lines.

Maybe remove the decal 'grill' in the body, behind the door.???

That grill between the park lights....sort of complicates the front, and once the number plate is on, could further mess up the clean look?

I like it.

The rendering is only to show the possibility of colors, on the body and stripes a lot has changed since then, the car won't have any carbon fiber and the front lower vent was for an inter cooler, it was going to be a procharged 540 but now its going to be a naturally aspirated 440 Ls.

Greg

but I think ppl use photoshop, and there is an open source 'verson ' called paint.net thats the prog name not web site..google it.
I dont do graphics and stuff...just dont get the time to figure it out..
But have had a small play trying to see what my next rod build will be.

Hi Nev, Awsome glad you had a blast in the car. No it won't be yellow, below are a couple of renderings I had done, a lot of things have changed about the direction of the car since then but I think the color will be along these lines.

Greg
Quite differnt colours Greg.
How much time do you think you have until you need to make the final decision?
