1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS 12-Bolt PW PS PDB
*** SOLD ***
NOM or tranny but was an original AC car with PS, PB (disc up front), PW, and a 12-bolt rearend. It DOES have the proportional valve in the front subframe. Because it is a CA built car, it does not have an X code on the trim tag. Without paperwork which I do not have, it’s difficult to prove that it is a real RS/SS. The car was painted Fathom Green originally.
The car runs and drives excellent. I have put about 150 miles on it without any problems. The motor is s t r o n g and was blue printed and balanced. It does come with the dyno sheets. Maxing at 306hp and 348 ft pounds of torque. The motor is a 350 punched .030 over. I have the receipts for the motor job ($3,192) in 2005. The previous owner claims there are hardly any miles on it. It has great oil pressure and runs between 160-170 degrees. The transmission is a BUILT 200R4. It shifts SUPER hard. It’s so hard I thought there was something wrong. I took it to a professional transmission shop and he said the tranny is built very well and nothing is wrong. He wanted to know what kit they used in it because he said it works very well. It does have an overdrive which makes it a pleasure to drive on the interstate.
The paint and body is pretty. It is a driver quality car that isn’t perfect. Door dings, some small bubbling at the bottom of the passenger door /rocker (nothing bigger than a quarter). The car looks awesome and is overall very solid; it just isn’t show quality. There is also some bubbling between the windshield channel and vinyl top. It’s not a major concern just want to make buyers aware. There are some scratches in the paint as well; nothing major. The bottoms of the doors are solid and crisp. It did have partial quarters and a driver floor pan put in. Otherwise I believe the rest of the sheet metal to be original. Trunk and shock towers are super solid. There was some work in the inner quarters inside the wheel wells (The corners). The headlight doors do NOT open with the switch. Tires are Cooper Cobra's on 14" Ralleys. One tire has a little bulge but doesn't seem to effect drivibility.
The interior is excellent. It has an AM/FM/CD with aftermarket speakers. All seatbelts are present. Headliner is excellent as well as the dash pad. Upholstery is excellent. It doesn’t have a factory tach but does have an aftermarket. Carpet and door panels are also excellent. Power windows work well but the rear needs a little assist.
Overall the car is an excellent driver. It runs like a b e a r and has GREAT power.
