Merry Christmas my friend! I'm hoping that's a shiny new LS under wraps? Just kidding. I know better.

Can't wait to see this thing back on the road!
LS l:) What's next, a transmission with overdrive? :surprise:

Definitely looking forward to some cruising this coming season.

Merry Christmas to you and Holly!

Phil

Nothing like a freshly painted clean and shiny engine waiting to rest on it's mounts and be put into action, looks very nice.

Looks fantastic. I just can't help but to chuckle every time I see the title of this thread. ;)
You may chuckle, but I shed a tear! :crying:

Thanks for the compliments, I tried some newer stuff. Seeing how this is about the 3rd time now, why not! I had good results last time with Plasti-kote, but this time I used VHT primer, engine enamel and finished with their clear enamel (good to 500 degrees). The clear really sets it off and it is darn close to the look of spray gun.

I think white headers look great, the challenge is keeping them looking white, at least that's been my experience. Hopefully it will be easier today than it was 40 years ago with the advances in paint technology.

Looks like you are making good use of your time off from work this week.

I hear ya, but I am okay with it if they end up with that old school burnt marshmallow look too! :grin2: Will be in the garage assembling more stuff this AM and then off to Mohegan Sun for a few days with Virginia.

Hope everyone has a great New Year!

You can just dust them off every few months to keep them clean. Or drape a tarp over the engine, that way dust won't collect on them in the first place...

Oh, don't make me go twin turbo. It's really not in the budget this year!
