Upgrading my L35 to an L78+ with around 425hp 500ft lbs. Engine builder is recommending new, stock rubber mounts versus urethane. One of the current motor mounts has a GM sticker with part number 3952748. I'd like to know if this is the safe design which does not require torque straps or should I be using a different mount?

This is interesting. Does this mount design prevent engine to rise up on the driver side? Where do you find such mount? Thanks
Yes that's correct. I found OEM rubber units at SS396.com
Product code on my invoice is: AMX-96. Both mounts cost about $100 with shipping. They match the original ones.
