Bought the car in 1979 when I was a junior in high school. Parked the car in my moms garage on jack stands around 1988. Drove it for my wedding in 1991 and a friend wedding in 1995. Cars been setting ever since. The cars original motor was removed years ago and put in storage in 1984. The installed motor won't meet California emission requirements so the car was parked....headers, cam, intake, compression and no smog equipment. The car has a Comp cam with Rhodes lifters. I used to have the car smoked under-the-table but as life went on I had no time to drive the car. I have other cars I play with, Chevelle, El Camino, and boats. Just haven't had an urge to drive it. So it sat in my mom's garage all this time until about 8 years ago I brought the car to my home and put it in my garage. It seems I never get rid of my cars. I still have my 1977 El Camino my dad bought new, my 94 Blazer I bought new and my brother now has my old 64 El Camino that we put a big block in around 1988. Finally got around to changing all the fluids and rubber lines in the car about a year ago and then the car sat for another year until I installed the last 2 plug wires about a month ago. Primed the car and she started right up.
The wheels are polished Americans with P265 50 15's. I still have the factory color matched turbine wheels in the attic with the factory tires on them. I installed Rancho sway bars on the car that I bought from Sears years ago. The car also has headlight covers and a rear widow tint insert that can be remove and reinstalled. It made out of a flexible plastic.
Over the years the headliner has decided to drop but the car is just as I parked it. In the 80's I took the car to the Carcraft Street Machine Nationals. At the time the car had a crossram intake with a set of Holley carbs on it. Thought I would post a few pics. I took pics of the original photos with my iPad. Thus the shadows on the pics. No order to the pics.
