Yes i said $500.00! It only needs a top, interior, floors, framerails, fenders, quarters, and a little love.;)
Seriously though, i looked at this car today and just about cried. The owner parked it along the tree line about 20 years ago and from what the neighbor told me it was beautiful. An original standard s.b./auto in the console car in rally green with black interior. The guy rattle-canned it black so it would blend in more to keep people from coming to try and buy it.
I'll try to get/post some pics this weekend.:(
Would this car actualy have any value left?

Jamie -

If any of the vert specific metal, like the inner quarter braces, are still decent, it is worth getting. While you're getting pics of the outside and underside (if you can), make sure to shoot the inside/side of the trunk and the backseat area (the "special" sheetmetal is from the back of the door to the rear of the trunk). I think the braces would only work on another 69, but Dynacorn has not released the repro braces, so guys show up here from time to time looking for the braces.

I'll do the best i can getting pics this weekend. I just don't want to bpick it up for 500.00 and lose money on it. I wouldn't even care if i really made any profit as long as i could recoup my cash and get some usable parts to fellow members in need.

So i go talk to the tenant of the house today and she tells me that yes, it is her car and NO its not for sale. Apparently my informant was mistaken. I asked around at work about the car or it's owner and i got this story; The woman got it in the divorce 25 years ago and vowed to let it rot to the ground to pi$$ off her ex.
I don't know about him but it's working on me!
This weekend i'm gonna go back to see if i can get some pics of it.
What a shame.

You'd be surprised at the stuff I see while out snowmobiling in the winter time here in Wi. You get whole new perspective when you can see people's back yard :D

There's a '69 with hockey strips in the back yard of a house near Dayton (suburb of Belleville;)) that hasn't moved in 4 years. If it was viewable from the road I'd stop in sometime and inquire.

Post the pics please, sad as they may be. Believe me, Camaro convertible parts cars don't exist anymore. I've been looking forever. It seems if theres a piece of sheetmetal and a vin left they say its "restorable"

This reminds me of a 69 Pace car this man had. It was in the '80s. I saw a Pace car sitting in a field beside this man's house in Pulaski, Va. I went and ask him if it was for sale. He said no. So I asked him if I could take a couple of pictures of it. He ask in a real angry voice "why do you want to take pictures of it if its aint for sale?" I guess he got tired of people asking if it was for sale. I dont know what ever what happened to it.

I know how you feel. The first camaro i ever looked at when i had money to start searching.. i came across a 69 camaro 4speed 327 and the owner rather had it let sit on the side of the house in the mud driveway and rot in to the ground then sell it. He claimed that someday he might get the itch back in to cars again but if not he had his fun with it. Fortunately he had a 91 cavalier for sale though which he kept pushing on me:(
