Just saw there will be an Overhaulin episode with a '67 Camaro on 10/16, Velocity channel. I know they had a first GEN on the show before this looks like a new episode. Of course the crappy guide could be wrong. Even a repeat would be worth watching.

Looks interesting. Story is the guy bought the car off the net and discovered it had a bit more rust than expected and got in over his head. Lucked out big time to get his car done.

I like the new format much better. Seems to have less of the lame pranks on the owner and more recognition of the builders. Also happy to see Jessi Combs on the show. Well spoken, knows what she is doing and actually gets her hands dirty, unlike the previous host she replaced. She was great during her guest stint on Mythbusters and I was glad to see her on All Girls Garage, even though I think the production and direction of that show isn't good. Got a little crush on her, can you tell?!

I've noticed Discovery channel is showing the new Overhaulin a day or two before Velocity but then Velocity claims "All New Overhaulin". I guess all new to Velocity.

This is how car shows should be done - don't bling out the vehicle with ridiculous stuff because you think it makes for good TV! Chip does a great job of designing and building beautiful autos. I've kinda stopped watching West Coast Customs because its more about the corporations or stars than the build process. The things they build (tour busses with vinyl wrap, food trucks, etc...) don't interest me.

I'm not sure if they've done away with the self imposed deadlines on Overhaulin' but I sure hope so. That (and the male co-host) are the only things I don't like about the show. Too many "reality" shows have those ridiculous made up deadlines, likely to add Drama or Suspense. Fake fake fake. This show doesn't need it!

Chris is horrible. Chip can't act. Always see him reading off a cue card. In the shows hiatus. Chris was a show host for a tmz type show. He's a creep lol

i saw him on one of the NBC News shows.. covering actual news.. i can't remember what show it was, but i just kept thinking "why is the dork from Overhaulin telling me about the election?". he was on some panel and they asked him questions like he was supposed to know the answer or something. he didn't.

If u never seen chip state at a cue card watch an episode of history of the hot rod. I seriously have to mute my tv or change the channel every time he talks lol

Why put yourself through the agony? I don't like Richard Belsner, I avoid shows I know he's in...

Maybe Chip is reading queue cards written like some of your posts... "If u never seen chip state at a cue card"... ;) Reality is, he's a car builder not an actor; ask him, he'll be the first to tell you that...

I just watched it, a couple of things were very good (chassis setup, driveline) others not so much (interior), but all in all they did not mess with it much and it looked nice. When I saw them filling the lock holes, my wife and I thought, Uh-oh, this is not going to be good. The two things that made me scratch my head, was leaving the "cobra" name on the seats :( and the way the front header emblem was installed over the pin striping, doh!

Great reveal though!

Can I get Chip to draw my car like he did this one? That would be killer!

Lol the front header emblem over the stripe bothered me too! Interior was ok. Definitely did not like the seats. Never liked huge stereos in a car that has an engine to provide the music.
