I thought I also read somewhere that this option wasn't even available until February or later in 1967, so early build cars wouldn't have the stripes either.

Is there a stencil or how would you go about painting this pinstripe?

 

i got mine out of the cheerio box!!:hurray:than again, my stencil came with number 2 pencils..air brush it on with a stencil ghost kit by creative custom in ca.

 

If you're not comfortable free-handing it, in the plant we used Beugler striping tools with two paintwheels, guided by a full-length fixture that suction-cupped to the body.

 

Bingo. I always wanted to try one of those out of curiosity. They used to come with a roll of magnetic tape to use as a guide. You can sometimes see the evidence of the Beuglers "tracks": tiny serrations on the sides of the stripes.
