So my 1969 is back from paint and no interior other than seats that need Upholstered and I searched for a list of what needs to be installed from first to last and I see nothing, surprised this would not be a sticky here??/ anyone have the list of things to do for interior install? dash/gauges & dash pad, glass, sound matt if used, carpet padding if separate from carpet, carpet, console, seat belts, door and rear 1/ panels, kick panels, rear seat, front seats....what I have done.
I would start with installing the ventilation ducts, defrost duct, heater box, then the interior wiring. The headliner would be easier to install with no windshield and rear window installed, then follow SoCal805 suggestion.
As said above, install anything under dash 1st including AC if applicable. Highly recommend installing the headliner prior to front & back glass.
There is a thread in this forum that is pretty complete. I remember seeing it a couple of years ago. Pretty much outlined those comments above but in a list form. I think it started with firewall pad and went from there.
A Google search for "1969 camaro interior install sequence" brought up this 19 year old discussion. Probably relevant today.
