Left Turn Signle Won't Go Off

My turn left turn signal doesn’t turn off automatically after I take a left turn.

The right turn signal works just fine.

I’m sure it’s a mechanical problem & not electrical.

Is there an adjustment I can make to correct the problem, or do I need to buy a turn signal switch that goes inside the steering column?

Thanks

I had the exact same problem with one more issue. My turn signal wouldn't turn off automatically from either side and the left signal quit working. My problem was mechanical as the wiring all checked out. My switch was brittle and cracked in several places from 47 years of use/abuse. I could have replaced the switch but the upper and lower bearing in my steering column were bad so I decided to replace the entire steering column.

 Less complicated projects have mission creeped such as the 2 dollar glovebox light bulb project that became a full frame off resto mod. Cost him his savings and his wife but he loves the car.

The other very common issue is the wheel alignment has not been done with the steering wheel lock in the horizontal , travel straight forward position. THEN the toe in set at the tie rod ends
Assuming all the Steering wheel/ shaft splines etc are installed/lined up correctly.

To check.. find the center piont from lock to lock....the front wheels should be straight ahead and the steering wheel horozonal.
If not alignment done by someone who doesnt know what they are doing.
