It got moved because someone mentioned the Current Administration. A big no no in Bench. This thread is going to end up there too, because I just mentioned it again.

 

The thread got moved but a redirect link was left to it so it could be found. The problem was not "mentioning the administration" it was actually blaming the administration which introduces the political element and sets the path for rebutal which it did.

I chose to move the thread over delete it! We have so many that start political debates with casual comments that once they get quoted and generate replies I'm not about to waste my time editing to save a thread. I have nothing against hunting and chose to move the thread so it could continue even though there is political drival in it.

 

I understand. That is why I added the smiley. The mention of the administration is just the first step towards it being in the OT section, which is exactly what happened.

Figured it was time to make a U-turn around here since looking/posting in there tends to bring out the negative more often in members. If I need any of that junk, there are other sites to go and see it and speak of it.

 

Regarding hunting btw I just am not seeing the White tail deer like I used to around here. Pretty scarce.

Jeeze I feel bad for you guys. I live in South Arkansas and see Deer everynight on the way home from work. With all the rain the last few weeks I think they have been hunkerd down but not anymore!!

I had 3 in my front yard last night and about 7-9 right around the house. I live in town and have counted as many as 12 at one time while sitting on my back patio at nite after work. They just walk right down the street like they own the place.

On the way home and in areas where people can hunt we have counted (carpool) as many as 30 on the way home and it's only a 16 mile drive!

I am not a hunter, just not into it but plenty of people around here are. I get to see some pretty big deer now and then. I did shoot one 2 years ago on a friends private property. Gave the meat away, we don't eat it so I don't hunt them.

I think Arkansas has season for just about everything. I think the most fun I have ever had with gun was squirl hunting. I don't eat them but its blast hunting them, I'll go do that every chance I get. A 5 Gallon bucket filled with squirls taken to a person I know gets ya 30 pack of Budlights in return. Darn good trade if you ask me :beers:

Seeing deer is not a problem it's shooting a mature deer with a hell of a rack on his head that I'm after. I sure have had alot of people recently asking for venison. Should be able to help them out.

 

I'm going to plant my food plot this week. Maybe tomorrow. I can't wait.

Im looking forward to hunting season but not the cold weather that comes after it. camaro guys should trade hunts! The boy is a chip off the old block, he got this buck last year.

I tried eating deer meat just once and didn't like that sweet taste!....Perhaps that particular deer had too many berries to eat because that's what the meat tasted like!

 

To tell you the truth Ron, I am not that crazy about it my self.
I end up doctoring it up with tons of garlic and black pepper.
Must be that gamey taste.

 

I know!....It's not that it was bad but I guess you just have to acquire a taste for it!....I just don't like sweet tasting wild meat!:noway:

 

James that was a very nice buck that was harvested. All be told I prefer to eat to eat hog meat than venison.

 

I am just leaving for antelope hunting tomorow both boys were drawn and they taste awsome, they eat sage brush and the meat sooo good. I just wish they were bigger like moose size.
