What's good diameter for steering wheel?

I hate my steering wheel.
It's 15 inches (outside diameter) and I feel like I'm driving a bus.

I'm thinking of going to a 13.5 inch OD steering wheel... and considering a Grant 313 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/grt-313/overview/
Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions?
Too small? Not small enough?

And what's a good dish depth? My current wheel is about 3 inches...

Btw: when these manufacturers list the diameter, is that the "outside" diameter??

Thanks.

This a Camaro or a go-kart? Wouldn't go smaller than 14-14.5 if seeing your gauges matter to you.

Hmmmm... I didn't think about it restricting the view of the gauges.
Maybe I'll buy a couple different sizes to try and return what I don't like.

But a 15 incher is definitely OUT for me.

This is very subjective, but I have a 14" wheel on my '67 and it feels perfect. The 15" was too big but any smaller would hide the gauges. As far as dish, I just added up the height of the adaptor plus the dish and tried to match the depth of the original to keep the same clearance between wheel and dash for my knuckles.

I went here: http://fssteeringwheels.com/

They're 14" which feels small at first but you get used to it. I wanted more leg room. I wouldn't get one that small unless you have power steering.

Can't beat the price and quality is better than Grant by a lot. Made in CA.

There's a thread around here somewhere that's been active lately. I started it when I put mine in.

Just FYI, A smaller diameter wheel will make the steering feel faster because you get the same input to the box from less movement of the wheel. I experimented with steering wheels and settled on the comfort grip(I think it is 14.5"). With a fast-ratio power steering box it is almost too fast for me, though. Agree having more leg room due to the smaller wheel is a plus.
