I have fuel, volts, temp, and oil pressure in the front of my console (auto meter gauges?), aftermarket gauge housing that sits in the front of the console. I LIKE IT! What do you have in the front of your console now?

It came today!

The pics above were from the eBay listing that I bought it from.

$39.95 for an unused in the original packaging Sparkomatic. I can now say I have NOS parts on the car. l:)

Phil
Correction, you have one NOS part on the car :boxing:

Console gauges are a factory option (which I don't have). If you don't have gauges, it is just a flat surface like this:

Alright then, I will have to find a Sparkomatic speaker new in the packaging then!

I suppose if you aren't going with the LS engine, NOS is the next best thing. What are you running, a 150 shot?:p

...Actually, I prefer the popsicles.

Anyway, after a little "customization" of the stock radio bezel, I have the radio mounted. I need to do a little touch up painting before posting a pic.

Radio is in (not wired) and the gauges are in (not wired):

Sorted out the heater hoses and fuel line a bit better so that nothing crosses and looks cleaner. I have 2 black billet double hose clamps on the way for the heater hoses that I will install once the inner fender is installed:

You LITERALLY installed the Sparomatic??? HOLY SH!+ I'm shocked (and appalled) :( so what were you thinking?
For this car, I wanted something that is fun to drive, handles well, has a little grunt, and looks good...but is not a trailer queen. This is why I chose: the complete hotchkis shocks/suspension upgrade, complete new braking system, all new steering and the addition of a mellow stall converter.

However, when it comes to the interior, I still want to feel as though I am riding in a classic car of that era. That is why I chose an OEM-style steering wheel, added the console shifter (ditched the B&M floor shifter), kept all of the woodgrain (which I nostalgically love), stock seats (they will be getting new foam next year) and yes, I purposely chose an out-dated tape player. For some things, to me, sometimes new and better isn't better.

Make sense?

I kinda like to mix a little old school in myself.

Everyone has their own reasons WHY they do what they do. I can actually relate to your rationale - not sure if that's good or bad. For me . . . driving my Camaro, 70s music on (Shark 102.1, Boston, Aerosmith, J Geils) is sometimes as good as it gets. JGeils at the casino August 23, see you there??? :)
